The “Hot Wheels” toy car series were my life when I was toddler. From their intricate tracks to their accurate reproductions of vehicles in their smaller forms. They brought me pure happiness whenever I used them. They always kept me occupied when I had nothing to do. Every little boy had these cars but, to me they were far more than that, they were an important part of my childhood. There is nothing more to it. They were my everything.

Road Project

After this post I will be posting material for an English Project. It will about life’s simple and intricate journeys. I will be doing it through photos and poetry. I can only wait to see what is going to emerge from it. Most Dope.

Comment

In the Poets Corner I learned multiple ways of writing poetry and my scope of writing overall was widened. I also found out about some cool poets such as Pablo Neruda, John Berryman and John Milton but, there are still more than that. Mr. Shovan also helped me to develop my poetic skill and helped me to make my past pieces better. The class was an overall great experience and it allowed me hear other poets pieces in my class.

Memory Nodes

The sand engulfs me

Taking with it my physical form

Traits dispersing throughout its grains

Bumbling beetles run throughout my veins

Sun rising, cracking the sky

Sun rays piercing my vision

Mystifying my take on reality

And those that are lies

The smell of cinnamon

Sinner’s delightful treat

Scorched pieces of steak

Bring back a familiar memory

A family gathering to be exact

Of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

The crackle-pop of meat

On the charcoal barbecue

Fades to black

Bringing me back to the beach

Sand surrounding my hands

And engulfing my feet

“You never mattered anyway”

Thanks. I thank you

For telling me this

I must not be worth your time

You were my life but,

Maybe I’ll find my way

Out of your life

Into an abyss

I spit in your face

Flip you the bird

Murder you with each syllable

Tear you apart

Im just making sure

You know my side

Because I don’t want anymore

Phone calls from you

I want you out of my life

I May Have Lost You

But I’ll Find Someone Else
